Suicidal Tendencies
Do you answer questions of those who post suicidal tendencies even though you may not have the "degree" for it?
I mean, do you dive in sympathetically to try to assist even though this is quite a job for a professional, knowing that there are some who just can't afford to pay a professional?
Bottom line, will a kind, well meaning, answer do more good than an option to skip the question completely? Or.... will saying something you think is positive impact negatively sending this individual spiraling toward certain doom?
I would post an answer to try to cheer them up. If someone was about to jump off a bridge and I was the only one there I would try to say something to make them change their mind. It might not work but at least I would have tried.
