After a week in Florida I am off to my favourite haunt L.A.

I am really lucky as I have an old friend who stays there and puts me up free of charge every time I go across which is a great help to the wallet! On my visit this time I will be frequenting a couple of VIP nightspots to increase my stock of movie autographs and movie memorabilia. I am hoping that I will be able to pick up a couple of vintage autographs to add to my personal collection before I jet back to the U.K. although I may have to buy autographs from other collectors if I am going to make this a very successful trip.

I was just thinking about the last time I was in L.A. out drinking with my friends we walked into a bar and stumbled across a celebrity for obvious purposes will remain nameless, as we had a very drunk night drinking tequila every way possible until the early hours in the morning!!!

It is essential to find out the history of the piece as this could help you to work out if it is authentic or not. Finally, a certificate of authenticity is a must when purchasing memorabilia and without it you can safely assume it is a fake.  

You might need to do a bit of detective work when you get your memorabilia. In most cases, costumes and props will have labels or markings on them. Costumes often have the "Western Costume Company" label sewn in to them. If you see these labels then you can rest easy that the memorabilia is authentic. With regards to props, the items often have studio stamps and/or production markings for specific scenes on them. Finding these small details can help identify an authentic from a fake.

 Collecting movie memorabilia, especially signed memorabilia is a very interesting hobby and lots of people all over the world spend a serious amount of their income boosting their collections. Not only were his songs number on but also his albums and music dance videos on MTV all hit the top charts. Michael continued to sing and dance through the 1990's selling over 750 million albums. He is the greatest entertainer of all time. And his albums and memorabilia value will increase over time as it already has.

His great monumental style will impact future entertainers forever; he laid the foundation to be followed by generations of upcoming entertainers.
