The goal of any type of strength training program is to overcome or control resistance. This may be in a form of weights, sand bags, medicine balls or tires. The key is performing the correct exercise that is appropriate for the age group.

Next let us compare two exercises and decide which ones has a better value for athletic performance on soccer field. First let us look at the leg extension (sitting with leg bent at knee) and the lunge.

Many high schools and gyms have some form of the universal leg extension machine. I know because I have seen it and used it in the past in both high school and at the gym as well soccer players telling me what they are doing in gym class. It is easy for some one to sit on a seat and hold handles at the side an do straighten the leg (extension).

Ask your self this question " at what point in a soccer game does a player sit on the ground and straighten his or her legs?"

Let us take a close at the action of the reverse lunge. We start with our legs shoulder width apart then take a step back. From that position we drive both he back leg forward and front leg up with as much force as possible. As we do this the back leg is moving forward.

So let us look at positives of both exercises. The leg extension allows you to be seated so that your "core" is relaxed.

The reverse lunge forces you to maintain balance, brace the core and drive the leg forward for soccer strength, soccer power and soccer speed. It closely resembles the action of running or sprinting and of
course these actions occur during a soccer game.

The other thing with the reverse lunge is that there is a focus on single leg strength. This type of strength is overlooked in many machine type exercise programs. Most machine type exercises have you seated or lying on your back using both legs. Is this " functional"?.

As an Athletic Therapist with a focus on injury prevention I find that many hamstring and quadricep muscle injuries may be avoided if players just focused on total body functional exercises like the lunge, squat or hip lift as compared to isolation machine exercises like the hamstring curl or leg extension.

How much cash for trip to Italy?

So, on July 4th I will be leaving for Italy and staying until July 31st. It's kinda like a study abroad program. I was just wondering how much spending cash I am going to need. My residence is already paid for since its part of the program cost so no need to worry about that. I figure I will be eating out a bunch but not all of the time and I definitely will be buying a bunch of wine. And I also am going to be buying souvenirs. So how much do you think for a months trip?

First, you should bring an ATM card rather than all cash. ATMs here are called Bancomats - it's cheaper than exchanging money usually. If your bank reimburses you for transaction fees from other banks, then you're in great shape. If not, then make fewer, larger withdrawals to minimize the fees.

To a large extent, you control how much you're spending. It depends on where you are, and what you buy. Most wine is relatively inexpensive here if you're not buying something like a top of the line Brunello di Montalcino. For food, if you're buying panini or pizza by the slice, you may end up paying around 6.50 euro and up in a place like Venice. Generally when I go out, I end up spending 25 to 50 euro for a good dinner. You can eat for somewhat less in most places by having only a first course (e.g., pasta) or a second course (e.g., meat or fish) rather than both. Restaurants have menus and prices posted so you'll be able to look around while you're out sightseeing and decide. Just for reference: A coke at many places like train stations will run 1.50 to 2.50 euro, but the store where I shop had the same thing for 65 euro cents last night. A McDonald's McMenu goes for around 6.50 euro depending on exactly where you are. I don't actually recommend eating at McDonald's while you're here though. You can generally save money buying fruit and such in a local market rather than eating out all the time. You can get a pizza and drink for 10 to 15 euro depending on where you are and what you order.

There are often very good deals on food at local festivals. The city fair just ended in the town where I live and I was in the food tent or at one of the gastronomic stands every night and never paid more than 8 euro for things like stracotto con polenta, maltagliati con fagioli, bigoli, piadina con salsiccia cippole e pepperoni, or risotto alla pilota plus a half liter of water.

There's no way to predict the cost of souvenirs without some idea of what you might be buying. There are cheap trinkets for a few euro up to some things that could be thousands of Euro. You should decide on what you think you can afford and buy according to that as you go.

Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan is the official celebration of one of the largest Dutch ethnic events in the Midwest United States. Residents of Holland proudly celebrate their Dutch heritage with a famous American festival known as Tulip Time.

I decided to write this article after being inspired by a small unit of Veterans of Vietnam War that participated in the Meijer Muziekparade.

We were lucky to be in Holland, Michigan this year to participate in the celebration of eightieth anniversary of the Tulip Time Festival Parade with over 500,000 people in attendance. It was named "Best Small Town Festival" by Readers Digest, listed among the "Top 100 Events in North America" by ABA, and featured in the book Amazing Places to Go in North America.

This year, the first Tulip Time parade (Volksparade) was held on May 6, the second (Kinderparade) on May 7, and last (Muziekparade, which we visited) on May 9.

The idea to adopt the tulip as the official flower of Holland and celebrate it with a festival was born at one of the Woman's Literary Club meeting in 1927 following a suggestion by Miss Lida Rogers, a biology teacher at Holland High School. The next year, the City Council purchased 100,000 tulip bulbs from the Netherlands and planted them in city parks and other areas. In the spring of 1929, thousands of tulips bloomed, and the annual festival was born. In the mid 1930s, Tulip Time already was nationally known. Many famous names like Dorothy Lamour, Pat O'Brien, Christina Aguilera, Verve Pipe, Jars of Clay, and George Raft participated at the festival.

After World War II, Tulip Time continues to attract thousands of tourists every year. In 1947, the Netherlands showed appreciation to the Holland community, which provided aid to their country after the war. The people of Amsterdam presented to Holland a working street organ called "Car Frei Breda," which today entertains Windmill Island visitors. In that same year began a long tradition of a visit from the governor of Michigan, who leads the street scrubbing ceremonies.

Despite poor weather conditions, this year's Muziekparade started almost on time. I was amazed with the participation of numerous marching units - around 60. Even though Holland, Michigan is not a hugely populated community (population around 35,000 residents), the Meijer Muziekparade could be compared with parades of large cities from my point of view.

The parade was so well organized that it captured attention of bystanders sitting and staying along street. It was really a spectacular parade. Units represented numerous organizations, schools, bands, dancing clubs, wagons, small and large businesses, different clubs, or social groups. There were antique automobiles followed by horses, fire department, police, military academy, Michigan Air National Guard, Holland Hockey Association, United States Marine Corps band, and others. Tulips were displayed on most of the cars and trucks and carried in bouquets by participants.

Some of the parade participants included US Senator Carl Levin, US Representative Pete Hoekstra, State Senators Wayne Kuipers and Patricia Birkholz, and Secretary of State Terry Lynn Land, as well as other notables. Some of came from different states of the USA to participate in the Meijer Muziekparade, and all appeared honored to participate.

However, some of the most unforgettable participants who were hailed by the crowds may not even be known by name. While taking pictures, I heard from distance a loud applause - louder than any applause up to that time. Soon, I noticed a small group in military uniform. It was the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 73, presented by seven marching men and one in a wheelchair. The spectators showered them with enthusiastic applause.

Holland celebrates its Dutch heritage not only with the Tulip Festival, but also with over six million tulips as well. Also, in 1976 Holland received impressive publicity by participating in the Tournament of Roses Parade.

I have to admit after watching the first Twilight I didn't really understand what all of the buzz was about. I chalked this up to the fact that I'm not a teenager and I also don't have a vagina (although sometimes I wish I did). Don't get me wrong, by no means did I think Twilight was bad; it was merely okay. I've seen better, I've seen worse. New Moon is a marked improvement upon the first film and I actually found myself getting wrapped up in this modern day retelling of Romeo and Juliet with a supernatural twist. New Moon still isn't the best movie I've ever seen, but if I were a fourteen year old girl, I'm sure it would be.

Despite taking place in a world of vampires and werewolves, at its core, Twilight has always been a soap opera. Call it Transylvania 90210. As this chapter begins, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) are still madly in love. When Edward's vampire family, the Cullens, throw a surprise 18th birthday party for Bella, things take a bad turn and Edward realizes that the only way to keep Bella out of harm's way is to never see her again. Bella falls into a deep depression and only through her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) does she begin to heal. Jacob wants to be more than friends and although she has feelings for him, Bella's heart still very much belongs to Edward. To complicate matters further, Jacob is a werewolf who spends his free time hunting vampires. New Moon really is Romeo and Juliet meets West Side Story wrapped in a supernatural candy shell.

This installment has more story, better performances from all involved and more humor, not to mention more action. Twilight's core group of fans may be young women, but given a chance, New Moon should have no trouble winning over legions of young men as well. The action scenes are done very well and are quite thrilling. The special effects are seamless and I was very impressed with the look of the werewolves.

CGI creatures sometimes look too fake, but the werewolves in New Moon are done really well and have a very realistic quality to them. Director Chris Weitz has truly improved upon Catherine Hardwicke's original in every way. To be fair, I tend to always enjoy the second installment of a series more than the first. I'll debate anyone that disagrees that Empire Strikes Back, Spider-Man 2, Superman II and The Dark Knight (just to name a few) aren't superior to the first films of those series. Of course there are exceptions such as The Matrix Reloaded and the second Pirates of the Caribbean film, but New Moon definitely falls into the former category.

The thing I liked most about New Moon is its use of humor. The first film was a bit too dour for my tastes and I kind of felt like I was trapped in this boring, emotive, Goth world. It is amazing how just a few funny lines can breathe life into a film; even ones that center around a love triangle between a teenage girl, an old vampire and a young stud werewolf. Despite the injection of humor, New Moon is still filled with plenty (if not too much) teenage angst and melodrama.

Just like the Harry Potter cast, all of the actors have grown in their respective roles. No actress is better at emoting teenage angst than Kristen Stewart. She has a "real" quality to her that makes her stand out from most young actresses. She seems like someone you went to high school with. Unfortunately the character is a bit of a downer. It would be nice to see her loosen up a bit. She is so emotionally draining that I almost had to wonder why all of these men are so taken with her. Robert Pattinson is much looser in this film than in the first and as a result gives an all around better performance. I also now understand why Bella is so in love with him. I still don't understand why every teenage girl in the world thinks he is so handsome.

To me he looks like someone smashed his face in with a shovel, but who am I to judge? The real stand out in the film is Taylor Lautner as Jacob. Despite playing the character in the first film, Lautner almost lost the role in the sequel because the producers felt he was too young to pull off the emotional range of the character. The actor is completely vindicated here, displaying great maturity and strength in the role. I know the big debate among Twilighters is Jacob or Edward and after seeing this film, I fall firmly on the side of team Jacob.

The film is a bit too long. They could've cut out quite a few scenes of Bella being depressed. Otherwise, New Moon is a solidly entertaining film that even those who are not die-hard fans of the series can enjoy. After seeing the first one, I had no real interest in seeing the sequel. This time around, I have to admit, I'll be looking forward to part three. Hell, I might even read the books.

The Asians have utilized bamboo for centuries, used in their food, their shelter, and their daily life. Ancient Asians used bamboo as a paper product, created homes and furniture with dried bamboo, and even used it in soups. Yet, bamboo can be used for some much more.

When dried and treated, bamboo is a very rigid wood, which can be used in flooring for homes. While at times expensive, bamboo is a great alternative because it can so quickly be replenished in nature. Bamboo can hold up in most any element, which is why it was so valuable to the ancient civilizations of Asia. It's durability and strength makes bamboo an excellent choice for building material.

Bamboo is often seen in construction due to its rigidity and core strength. It is no wonder that previous generations in America used dried bamboo stalks as fishing poles. The bamboo stalks were durable enough to hold when a fish was hooked. Bamboo is still used in small towns across America, though western and European cultures comprehend its value beyond the every day fishing pole or wind chimes.

Since bamboo is a grass, it is a renewable resource. It needs very little room to grow, since certain varieties grow upwards to sixty feet. It generally takes weeks for the grass to grow back once harvested and continues to grow year round. It is these certain attributes that make bamboo quite beneficial to modern civilization.

However, if you are planning on adding bamboo to your current garden, it is advisable to do your homework first. Bamboo, while easy to maintain, can be tricky to remove from your land once it is planted, so make sure that you have the proper plant for your climate, garden and abilities. Once planted, all you will need to do is keep it watered regularly- after all, bamboo requires a great deal of water- and trim it to the appropriate length and width you desire. With over 1,500 varieties of bamboo available, it can get pretty tricky trying to find the perfect plant for your yard. This is why researching your grass is so important. There are varieties that have both clumpers and runners, then bamboo which have one or the other. Clumpers tend to grow outward, while runners grow upwards. Depending on your garden, you will need to decide which one is best suited for you.

The Chinese consider bamboo to be extremely lucky, so having this evergreen in your yard or home can bring much luck to your family. Though lucky bamboo is not traditionally bamboo, but more of a houseplant per se, it is still lucky. And anyone who has bamboo in their yard should consider himself or herself lucky, for they have planted one of nature's greatest grass and are giving back to the planet they love.

How can I get tokio hotel autograph by mail?

Please help! I´m a recent tokio hotel fan and i love them already!!! i want to send a photo to be sign by tokio hotel, what do i need and what do i have to do? the reply autographs are real or just preprint? Another question? how can i sent something via venue? how can i know the temporary address?

Sadly, I doubt that they have the time to actually sign for all their fans. I got my SCREAM cd signed back in May, though I was at the NYC signing session at Virgin Megastore.

Maybe they'll have a signing session in your city or somewhere close by (for SCREAM or for a future cd), you could go. But those events you probably have to get a wristband from the sponsering store. So make sure to be there early because they go out FAST.

John Clayton Mayer was born on October 16, 1977 at Bridgeport, Connecticut to Margaret and Richard Mayer. The middle child of three siblings, his two brothers are named Ben and Carl. He attended Fairfield Warde High School and Brien McMahon High school in Norwalk, Connecticut. For his junior year, he wanted something more in his life. Thus enrolling in the Center for Global Studies at Brien McMahon High school where he was sent to Japan as an exchange student. There he learned about their culture and language.

As a child, Mayer wasn't into music. He can play the clarinet but making a career was far from his mind. But watching Michael J. Fox perform "Johnny Be Goode" in the movie "Back to the Future", he soon began to appreciate music. His next door neighbour lends him various jazz and blues tapes and one from Stevie Ray Vaughn which he began listening over and over. Soon enough, he was able to learn and play the guitar at the tender age of 13. By 16, John Mayer was performing at clubs. In his senior year, he joined a band called Villanova Junction. But he did not stay for long.

Mayer enrolled in the Berklee College of Music in Boston after High school but dropped out after a year feeling that his classes no longer challenged him. He'd rather play and write music, not study them. He chose to cut his studies short and move to Atlanta, Georgia where he started playing at local clubs and started making demos and sending out copies. He was starting to build a fan base in Atlanta in clubs such as Eddie's Attic.

John Mayer released his first EP in 1999 entitled, "Inside Wants Out". A year later his breakthrough CD was released. "Room for Squares" featured smash hits including "No Such Thing" (which spawned from a conversation he had with his mom!). By 2000, John was signed with Columbia Records, which re-released "Room for Squares" and made him a multi-platinum artist.

In 2003, he won his first ever Grammy for "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" for his ever popular "Your Body is a Wonderland". He also released his first concert DVD "Any Given Thursday" that same year. The concert was recorded at the Oak Amphitheatre in Birmingham, Alabama.

On September 9th 2003, he released his second much anticipated album called "Heavier Things" and on 2005, bagged him the "Song of the Year" Grammy for his song "Daughters" beating contenders such as Kanye West and Alicia Keys. He also won "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" for the second time.

John Mayer has done a number of collaborations. Rubbing elbows with music big hits such as Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, BB King, and John Scofield. He was even lucky enough to tour with Herbie Hancock for a show at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. To date, John Mayer is on of the most respected guitarists of our time and many musicians look up to him, old and young alike. He even gained respect from hip-hop artists like Kayne West. Everyone wants a piece of this incredible talent.

In the spring of 2004, he formed the John Mayer Trio with bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan, two of the most respected musicians in the industry, Jordan being a legendary producer and Palladino as one of the band members of The Who. The trio plays a combination of Rock and Blues music. They released their live album called TRY! in November 2005 and began touring in sold out concert venues around the country. The album includes songs such as "Vultures" and "Who Did You Think I Was?" which made a statement that this band is serious in their blues and rock roots. Though the trio is now defunct after announcing the end of their performance in the Tempe Music Festival in March 2006, their music will still be remembered as one of the best.

For his new album "Continuum", Mayer promises a different approach to his music, and producer Steve Jordan adds it will still be in the lines of their trio style which combines signature pop, with the feel, sound and groove of blues music. Mayer's album release is set on September 12th. His first single, "Waiting on the World to Change" debuted on his website on MySpace last July 11th. The song was the most downloadable single on iTunes that week and ranked number 25 in the Billboard Hot 100 Charts, proving that he still has it after a long hiatus from recording this album."Continuum" was released in September 12, 2006.

John Mayer also enjoys blogging. A hobby he picked up after creating a profile page in MySpace. He updates this regularly and shares his thoughts to all his fans and enjoys promoting other artists he likes listening to. Disney Channel is the one of America's most successful children channel. Most of its programs are original series and movies as well that are promoted mostly to children. For the past years, older audience's share has dramatically increased due to the channel's various programs that are designed for all ages. Disney Channel is part of Disney-ABC Cable Networks, a division of THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY. The network is stationed in Burbank, California.

The network first broadcasted program aired on April 1983. That time Disney Channel air their programs for only 18 hours a day. The program that really captured the taste of the audience was the "Mickey Mouse Club". Good Morning, Mickey, Donald Duck Presents, Dumbo's Circus, Epcot and Welcome to Pooh Corner were the first programs produced by the Disney Channel Series. Mickey Mouse club then was really blessed by new and all star-casts together with Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Justine Timberlake, JC Chasez, and a lot more. They were just the few mice that growled in their den.

By 1995, the Disney Channel has been hitting an astonishing 8 million audiences across the continental United States. Also, this time Disney began managing musical specials, which showcased N' Sync, Backstreet Boys, M2M band, B*Witched and a lot more.

In 2001, Disney closed the seal with ABC Channel to air its original programs and now ABC airs almost all Disney Channel's shows. From the original live action series to select active animated series.

Disney Channel modified their logo somewhere in late 2002 to celebrate its forthcoming 20th anniversary.

Today, the channel has been refashioned once more. It ends producing reality and drama shows and series and just focused to live action comedies and animated series.

An expert cable executive, Anne Sweeney, controlled the network group in 2004 and victoriously reintroduced Disney channel as major profit driver to the company. By 2008, Conde Nast Portfolio was able to note that the Channel has been adding a million viewers a month. The profitable approach was to discover, raise, and assertively promote teen music stars whose aura and approach were carefully targeted to the "tween" segment in the period between the childhood and adolescence.

Disney channel's aim audience are toddlers, teens, and young adults, Disney Channel has gained super recognition even from audiences outside the main target audience. Now Disney became well known to its original series and also became one of the most viewed channels in the US even abroad.

That's so Raven became the networks highest rated series of all time and still making its own history. Other very popular shows include: Hannah Montana starring Miley Cyrus, Wizards of Waverly starring Selena Gomez and David Henrie, The Cheetah Girls, High School Musical starring Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, Camp Rock starring Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers and more.

Demetria Devonne "Demi" Lovato is best known for her role as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock. Demi's impressive track record of experience includes a role as a guest appearance on a national Fox hit tv show "Prison Break", a lead role in the hit PBS series "Barney and Friends", and her most recent booking as a lead in Disney's newest tv pilot "As The Bell Rings",the national Hasbro "Hit Clips" spokesgirl, and voiceovers for both national radio and TV for Denny's, Radica, and Hasbro. Nowadays, people in the entire world know well who are Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. They know very well who of them is human and who of them is vampire. However, when people are asked about Stephenie Meyer, they might just answer that she is the author of The Twilight Saga. They might not know a lot about her career and her achievements in writings. For that reason, this article gives you a brief biography of Stephenie Meyer, a woman who created vampires in Forks.

Stephenie Meyer was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1973 but she was settled in Phoenix in her age of four with her family. She attended Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Then, she continued her study to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and received her B.A in English in 1997. She had never written a story before she wrote Twilight and even started to consider taking law school. However, the birth of Gabe, her oldest son changed her mind because she just wanted to be her mother.

Before she decided to be an author, she was working as a receptionist in a property company. However, her life then totally changed on 2003. She decided to write something, something that she had not done in a long time and that surprisingly bothered her. She began to think about the plot of the first book of The Twilight Saga Series.

It is quite interesting that she invented the idea of the plot during the day through swim lessons and potty training. Then, she wrote it into words and sentences in the late of the night when her house is pretty quiet, and amazingly she finished the first book, Twilight, in three months only. This book then reached its success in 2005.

Started from this year, she delivered the second book, New Moon, in September 2006 and the third book, Eclipse in 2007. In May 2008, she delivered her other novel, The Host, in the market and still in the list of bestseller more than a year after its debut. Then, the final book of the Twilight Saga was released at 12:01 midnight on August 2, 2008.

The Twilight Saga became more and more famous when Twilight the movie was released on November 21, 2008. It was directed by Catherine Hardwicke and starring Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan. Then, New Moon was released on November 16, 2009 in USA, and Eclipse also will be released on June 30, 2010.

Although she could be considered as a new American author, Meyer has achieved a lot of awards. They are A Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, An Amazon.com Best Book of the Decade...So Far, A Teen People Hot List pick, as well as An American Library Association Top Ten Best Book for Young Adults and Top Ten Books for Reluctant Readers.

Besides the Twilight Saga and The Host, there are still some works that you can find soon in the bookstores. They are Midnight Sun, The Soul, and The Seeker.

John Frusciante was born on March 5, 1970 in New York, America. His father and mother both were no strangers to music as his father was a trained pianist while his mother had surrendered her career as a vocalist to become a full time house wife. But like many pop stars and celebrities his childhood also suffered from disharmony in parental relationships as his parents separated soon. But John was lucky to find a supportive step father who encouraged him to pursue a career in music.

At the age of nine he was possessed with the work of the iconic punk rock band 'The Germs', wearing out several copies of their record. By age ten, he had taught himself to play many songs of The Germs in a tuning that permitted him to play each and every chord with a single-finger barre. After short while, Frusciante started taking guitar lessons from an instructor who acquainted him with the works of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

With the consent of his parents, John left the high school at sixteen and left for Los Angeles to master the skills in guitar playing in pursuit of a bright future in music. John joined the Guitar Institute of Technology, but soon returned to old ways and attended classes irregularly. His major inspirations were Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and the legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix who captured John's mind at the age of eleven. John also observed the works of the pop icon Frank Zappa with great diligence and fervor and discovered the horizons of his own talent.

After getting to know Red Hot Chilli Peppers, John started to idealize guitarist Hillel Slovak and with constant practice he could play nearly all parts of guitar and bass used in the first threee records of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. In 1988, John hit friendship with D.H.Peligro with whom he started playing and there he also came in contact with the bassist of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers Michael Peter Balzary 'Flea' and also grabbed the chance to play music with him.

After the death of Slovak in 1988, Red Hot Chilli Peppers was on the brink of collapse and to avert such a destiny, Flea suggested interviewing Frusciante to join them. Flea who was earlier impressed by John's talent was astounded by his knowledge of the band's repertory. Flea and the vocalist Anthony Kiedis altogether impressed by John agreed to enter him in the band.

From 1988 to 1992 John Frusciante produced magical albums like Mother's Milk (1989), and Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991) which was an instant hit, reaching the third rank in the Billboard charts. These albums brought Red Hot Chili Peppers to heights of fame and popularity which John started to dislike with the passage of time and began to isolate himself from the band. Along the way John's addiction to drugs was getting worse causing harm both to his health and his professional career. In 1992, Frusciante declined to perform on stage at Tokyo's Club Quattro showing the intention of leaving the band. Although his mates succeeded in forcing him to perform that time, eventually he left the band.

In 1994 John produced his first solo music album 'Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt', but this period was clouded with his excessive drug use which even impacted on the recording quality. In order to release himself from a state of depression John started using Heroin and Marijuana and resorted in focusing on writing and painting. In 1997, John released his second solo music album intended to raise drug money but withdrew it in 1999, promising to re-release for his fans.

In 1997, after more than 5 years of drug addiction, John decided to leave drugs aside and lead a healthy life. His friend Bob Forrest also came to his help and upon his request John agreed to join a drug-rehabilitation center. After months of hard work and medication Frusciante regained his health and soon rejoined Red Hot Chili Peppers who were once again on the verge of break up. With John back, the band released their album Californication in 1999 which is regarded by him as his favorite work of music.

The band released their third album with John, By The Way in 2002, while he continued to release and produce his solo music. In 2004 Frusciante released his fourth solo album also featuring Klinghoffer and his band mates. In 2005, he started work on his fifth solo album and started to use a full 24 track mixer exhibiting all the weapons in his armory. He also expanded the use of guitar effects throughout the album, and used various other instruments such as the synthesizer and mellotron.

While in 2008 Anthony Kiedis announced that Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be taking a break for a year, John continues to work with other artists on their albums and on his solo music as well. John Frusciate has attributed his come back as a rebirth and continues to produce different shades of guitar music. This musician, largely influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen, credits this shift in his career to changes in his approach to rhythmic patterns and states that as long as he continues to change his style of music he would never hang his boots, or in this case, hang his guitar.
